Granite Digital are delighted to be recently awarded the contract to redevelop the Worlchoice Travel website and intranet. It is a very exciting project for our Web Development Team, with the goal of improving collaboration and communications between member agents and trade partners whilst most importantly using technology to deliver bigger profits for all involved.
Robert Carpenter, Director at Granite Digital, described the project as ‘very exciting’, saying it will showcase a ‘world-class digital look and feel’ to Worldchoice’s engagement with both their Irish members and their trade partners, which include Amadeus and Royal Caribbean. The goal is to bring Worldchoice’s intranet portal to life, he said, ‘reinvigorating’ their brand and profile.
Worldchoice employs 400 people in Ireland through its 60 travel agency branches, with a further 700 locations spread across the UK.
The project will showcase a world class digital look and feel to Worldchoice’s engagement with their trade partners(these include Amadeus, Royal Caribbean) and their membership base in Ireland. The goal is to enco
urage all of their members and partners to use this intranet portal to bring membership interaction and trade partnerships to life, reinvigorating their brand, profile and industry partnerships across all sectors.
The first phase of the Worldchoice project is due to be completed in the first quarter of this year and the system will include:
- Members Intranet
- Consumer Website
- Responsive Design
- Training Centre
- Integrated Booking systems for Hotels, Flights, Cruises and Car Hire
- Content Management System
- E-Commerce Integration
Granite, whose clients include the Port of Cork, Cork Institute of Technology, the West Cork Hotel, and Enterprise Ireland, amongst others, was set up in 2008 by Conor Buckley, Seamus White, Ger O’Shea and Robert Carpenter.
